Watercolor "Stained Glass" Art
STEP 1:
Watch the Creating Watercolor Paper Demonstration Video:
Watch me as I demonstrated 3 different ways to create beautiful, colorful watercolor backgrounds. For all three you will need plain white paper and something to cover your work area - like newspaper. For methods #1 and #3, you will also need a paintbrush. Then to complete the "stained glass" all you need is a black Sharpie (or marker)!

STEP 2:
MAKE YOUR WATERCOLOR PAPERS
Choose one of the methods from the video and start creating! Do all three of you want. These beautiful papers can be used to make several different types of art. I will post additional ideas for you, so save them all!
Method #1: Using watercolor paints
Method #2: Water-based markers, spray bottle & zip-lock plastic bag Method #3: Water-based markers, coffee filters |
STEP 3:
CREATE THE STAINED GLASS EFFECT
After your papers are dry, choose your favorite. Watch the second video posted here where I show you how to create a stained glass-like effect. All you need is a pencil and a black Sharpie (a regular black marker works very well, too.)
NOTE: IF YOU MADE MORE THAN 1 PAPER - SAVE THEM FOR OTHER PROJECTS! |
